Our leather strop kit comes with wooden base which has veg-tan leather on both sides. We include a piece of white jewlers rouge. For best results add a light coat of oil to the leather, allow it to soak in good and then rub the rouge on the leather. Some like to put a more coarse rouge on the other side. I personally like to leather one side without rouge and then I simply strop on the leather very lightly after stropping my blade on the white rouge.
